I'm sure the same policy is in place at CSA which is, send the shapefile and
a .txt with metadata and it can go into the FGDC clearinghouse, the download
area, and into the OK Data Warehouse Mapper.

That sounds GREAT, Katy. Perhaps OU Center for Spatial Analysis (which has
absorbed OU Geo Information Systems) or OCGI at OSU could put it on their
web site.

In any case, please give us a post when it's finished.

Thanks,

David

It's funny that David asked for this today, because I was concerned about
the accuracy of the ESRI hospitals layer (since some of our people would
like to use hospitals data in their program management) so, just today, I
requested the addresses of all hospital facilities in Oklahoma from our
hospital discharge data supervisor here in Health Care Information at the
State Health Department. I am going to geocode it in the next few days and
will send it out as soon as I am done. There are 138 facilities on the
list. Here is the Excel file in case you need it quickly and would like to
geocode it yourself.

Katy

Michael,

You will have to send David a shapefile/database subset of the data.the
layer is just a reference to your data.you may want to send it directly to
him, don't want to clog up inboxes.

This is from my ESRI Streets file. it is by no means complete, I know there
is a hospital in Guthrie. Best I could do.

Does anyone have a layer of Hospital and/or Medical facilities that they can
share or know where to find one?

Thanks,
David
