Thanks for the clarification Chad. I guess now we'll wait for Katy's
results.

David:
Hospitals, rural health clinics (RHC), federally qualified health care
centers (FQHC), and community health centers (CHC) are different (from a
programmatic standpoint) types of health care facilities. I have a
hospitals layer (not nearly complete and robust as Katy's) and I have
yet to come across the situation where a hospital and a RHC, FQHC, or
CHC spatially overlap one another (that does not mean it cannot happen
once Katy's geocodes her hospitals). Your original email stated that
you were looking for "hospitals and/or medical facilities" so I thought
I would throw these three out for your consideration. In a nutshell,
you would still need Katy's layer of hospitals.

Thanks Chad,
I'm not clear about all of your definitions for the following categories
that you cite:
.Rural Health Clinics
.Federally Qualified Health Centers
.Community Health Centers
Do any of these include the hospitals that we've been discussing? If
so, is the layer of sufficient accuracy as to make Katy's effort to
geocode the hospitals unnecessary? (Please see the posts from Katy Rich
on this subject)
Also, do those layers overlap in their content? For example, are some
facilities in more than one layer?
Thanks,
David

I am not sure if you need them or not, but I have coverage's (or layers)
for Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and
Community Health Centers that I am willing to share. Just let me know.

Is that in the packaged data that comes with ArcGIS?

ESRI StreetMap (usa\landmarks) has hospitals data...may not be detailed
or current enough for your use, though...Do you have the StreetMap data?

Does anyone have a layer of Hospital and/or Medical facilities that they
can share or know where to find one?
Thanks,
David
