REGISTERED LAND SURVEYOR (R/FT)
Salary: RANGE M07-$51,937.60 ANNUALY

JOB SUMMARY: Performs and supervises a variety of advance professional
tasks involved in land surveying, geodetic surveying, dependent or
independent surveys and resurvey of the public land system. Serves as an
expert witness for Cherokee Nation and its programs. Bears a high level
of liability for professional survey decisions. Supervises the work of
survey parties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or
university; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination
of education and experience. The field of study should be
Surveying/Geomatics. An additional four (4) years of experience in a
related field is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a
driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets
requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. License required
to be in the field surveying, meeting with land owners and other
agencies. Must be registered as a Land Surveyor with the Oklahoma State
Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Must have knowledge of Oklahoma Statutes pertinent to land surveying,
land titles or deed and/or grants, surveying principles and practices,
and of the principles and practices of effective supervision. Must
possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with others; to exercise judgment in analyzing situations;
to organize projects, to establish survey control and property
boundaries, and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must possess the ability to organize and conduct multiple projects
simultaneously. Embraces and implements the Jobs/Language/Community
Cherokee Nation Strategy.
