Greetings,

The Oklahoma State Geographic Information Council (Council) is
conducting a survey to assess the status as well as the current and
future needs of the GIS (Geographic Information System) community in
Oklahoma. Duties of the Council as defined in Oklahoma Statutes Title
82-1501-205.1 include overseeing the Office of Geographic Information
(OGI). Information obtained from this survey will play an integral part
in the development of a strategic and business plan for the OGI pursuant
to Section 1501-205.3 of Title 82 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

You have received this email because you have either attended a Council
meeting, participated in a South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG)
activity, subscribed to the OKGIS Listserver or have been identified as
a member of an organization that is either using or may be wanting to
use geographic information technology. I am asking that you take a few
minutes of your time to assist us with this endeavor by taking the
following survey. Just click on the link below to go to the survey
website. Answers to the survey will only be presented on a categorical
basis, not individually.

Please complete the survey based on your perspective from within your
organization which may be at a department or division level. If you
know of others within your organization who may have an interest in
participating in this survey, please forward this email to them.

Please complete the survey by 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 3, 2006.
