Personal Geodatabase compatibility. RE: [OKGIS]

That is good news and I stand corrected. I was basing my assumption on
ESRI's own literature which said the 9.2 geodatabase was not backwards
compatible. Glad to hear that editing it in 9.2 does not automatically
convert it to a 9.2 geodatabase.

Subject: Personal Geodatabase compatibility. RE: [OKGIS]
Hi guys,
Good news. It's correct that opening a 9.1 MXD in 9.2 and saving it
makes it incompatible with 9.1, and data created with 9.2 is
incompatible with 9.1. However opening and editing 9.1 data with 9.2
doesn't change the format and it remains compatible with 9.1. It is a
manual upgrade to move from 9.1 or earlier data to 9.2.
See below for details.

To all,
I am hoping someone can help me with this. Does anyone know if you
open a 9.1 geodatabase using 9.2.....make edits, save...and still have
it
able to be opened in 9.1?
Thanks,
John Savicky
