[OKGIS] Fw: ArcMap Image Service Error

MXD services are very sensitive, there are a ton of the things to check
so it's hard to list them all.  Are you unable to create the service
completely?  If so what error message are you receiving when you try to
create the service?

One thing to check, do you have any extensions on when you create the
mxd?  Uncheck all extensions when creating an arcmap image service.

Thanks, Stacia! I will try the admin thing, but I am an admin on the
server...other than that I am not sure...cause it dies no matter what
ArcMap MXD I try...I even tried different data types...file gdb,
personal gdb, and shapefile (both locally and network shared)...
Another thing...the sample even dies when I add my own datasets to the
mxd...

If he can start an ArcMap Service using the sample data, then it is
possible that there is some disconnect with the mxd he is using.

Also i would try to start the service using Administrator on the server
machine.

I cannot seem to get any ArcMap Image Services going other than the
sample provided by ESRI. (C:\Program
Files\ArcGIS\ArcIMS\Samples\ArcMapServer) I re-watched some ESRI Virtual
Campus training on the topic, but of course, they never have any
problems pop up...so I created the mxd...saved it to the AXL directory,
and tried to create the service...it dies every time...
