[OKGIS] Job Opening

I was asked by a neighboring office if I knew of anyone who might be interested in a particular job position.  Unfortunately, he didn't give a lot of detail so I will do my best to submit a description.  

The company focuses on Land/Lease Brokering but also has an internal Exploration & Production company.  They have plenty of people who do their land & ownership research and people who maintain the legal documents, but currently they do not have anyone in-house to do their mapping.  I'm not sure what applications they use, but because a consultant has previously done work for them outside of the office, I think they may be willing to purchase whatever programs may be needed in order to create a mapping station.  I work closely with this company and have used Tobin, ESRI, CAD and misc types of data to build lease/land maps for them.  I personally use Petra and do not have a program capable of handling large GIS files (perhaps this new position next door would prompt my boss to purchase one!)

Basically, they want someone who can build and maintain lease maps.  There is no researching involved, just a matter of drafting the land/lease information to look professional.  As I said, no one currently does this in their office, so it might be a great opportunity for someone new to come in and really shine.  This could be a entry-level position, but you must already know how to work with different data types and some kind of GIS application.  By the way...this company promotes more than any other I have seen and there is always room to grow.

I hope this makes sense...again, they gave me no direction or details, just asked if I knew someone who could draft lease maps.
