Subject: [OKGIS] Oil and Gas GIS Question
All,
This may be a question that has been asked before. I would like to be
able to produce a map for oil & gas competitors. It is my understanding
in the past that if there is more than one competitor for a parcel of
land the information would be displayed as the parcel of land then it
would have the same shape with another color for the other competitor.
(That may not make sense). Basically it would be a negative buffer per
parcel of land to display other competitors.
I can send a picture of what I am talking about if that helps.
Is there away to simplify this procedure? Some parcels of land have 4
competitors, some have only 2. I just don't want to have to run the
buffer wizard 4 times. I update my maps regularly and don't want to
have to keep running the buffer and creating the new buffer layers every
time the data changes.
Any help would be great. I can send pictures if that helps clarify.
