The Canadian County Assessor's office has a GIS position available. 

 

Duties will consist mainly of overseeing and building our digital parcel
layer. We are within approximately one to two years of completing the
initial building project of 50,000+ parcels. Other duties will include
creating and printing parcel maps for the public and assisting other mappers
in the Assessor's Office with ArcView parcel editing and map production.

 

As our GIS capabilities grow, duties would expand to include GIS and GPS
projects for other county offices as well as developing GIS access on our
website. Canadian County is committed to developing our GIS program and is
involved with assisting GIS programs in our municipalities. Data sharing and
using GIS to promote economic development in the county are top priorities.

 

The position requires a strong, basic understanding of ArcView 9.x; we will
train on parcel editing.

 

Full-time or part-time. Full-time employment includes excellent benefits. 

 

Salary is dependent on experience.
