The Center for Spatial Analysis is pleased to announce that applications
are now being accepted for the 2007 Geospatial Summer Institute
Fellowship program. With support from Oklahoma NASA Space Grant the
summer institute, a 3 credit hour fellowship program, provides
undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities to explore
technological, application, and industrial experiences in remote
sensing, global positioning systems, and geographic information systems.
Fourteen fellowships at $1,805 each will be awarded to support student
attendance. Fellowships provide for tuition, fees, materials, meals and
lodging (when applicable for those outside the OKC metro area). Each
student will receive a $300 stipend, 3 credit hours through the
University of Oklahoma, and ESRI Introduction to ArcGIS I certification
upon successful completion.
Students from all eight Space Grant affiliate universities are eligible
to apply. One fellowship will be competitively awarded to a student from
each affiliate institution and 6 additional at-large fellowships will be
awarded to students from the total pool of applicants.
