Shellie and I are attending the National States Geographic Information Council meeting in Annapolis, Maryland this week.
The budget request ($ 371,000) for the Office of Geographic Information (OGI) has been submitted and is included in the overall budget request for the Oklahoma Conservation Commission. So far no commitments have been made to fund the OGI. We still have nearly 2 months before the end of this legislative session to get the attention of the Legislature and the Governor on this issue. We are continuing our work in providing information concerning the need for statewide coordination of geographic information activities and support to the GIS Community. Any assistance from the members of the GIS Community is most welcome.

Shellie,
Any idea about whether or not the OGI was funded with the current state Budget?
I assume you are coming to Stillwater tomorrow.
Hope to see you then.
Mark
