Subject: [MAGIC Public] Last Chance - Nominate our best and brightest
for aMAGIC Consortium Award...
Good evening all,
Please distribute as widely as possible to the geospatial community...
This is the last week to nominate - nominations close Friday, November
30th at midnight.
Please consider recognizing the superior geospatial accomplishments of
that special person, consortium or organization at the upcoming April,
2008 MAGIC Symposium in Kansas City, MO!
The Mid-America Geographic Information Consortium (MAGIC) asks your help
to identify those in the GIS community doing great things. We're sure
you realize how important it is for the greater GIS community to
properly recognize the outstanding performers in the categories of - GIS
Coordination, GIS Service and GIS Innovation.
MAGIC will honor such people with an award to be presented during the
beginning plenary session of the April, 2006 Symposium in Kansas City.
Taking the time to recognize their accomplishments honors not only their
efforts but those of their state and co-workers as well.
All we ask is that you take a few minutes to go to:

Eligibility criteria, past award winners and award guidelines links are
on the web page.
The nomination form is web based and very easily completed. You may
make more than one nomination if you so choose. More than one nomination
would be greatly appreciated and would facilitate a wider range of
choices for the MAGIC member state's to make selections from. In
accordance with the MAGIC awards procedures of previous years - each
state's MAGIC director will receive the entire nomination portfolio and
decide how their state will determine their choice for awardees in each
of the three categories. Each state's determinations will be reported
to the MAGIC Awards sub-committee and combined to establish an overall
winner in each category.
If, for some reason, the nominations page is not available, please reply
accordingly.
Please consider recognizing our best and our brightest!
Thank you for your time!
