[OKGIS] ArcMap "Extract Values to Points" Error

Hello,
   
  I am trying to extract raster values to vector points using ArcMap 9.2.  My rasters are 32 bit floating point grids.  Both rasters and vector point shapefiles use datum NAD1983, and have been projected into UTM 17N.
  Every time I've tried to use the "Extract Values to Points" operation within Spatial Analyst Tools, I am returned the following error message:
  An error was encountered while executing ExtractValuesToPoints.
  ("esriGeoAnalyst.GridEngine") GRID ERROR   - Assignment to non-variable
  Error in executing grid expression
  Failed to execute (ExtractValuesToPoints_4).
  How can I make this work?
  ESRI Support has not helped.
