[OKGIS] importing shape files w/text

I am importing Section, Township and Range files (.shp) into Petra from the CSA website.  When I opt to load the text, I only want the Section Number column but instead it adds ALL the columns of text, and they are separated by commas.  I've tried loading it several times and using different columns with the same result.  In order to fix it, I would have to change the text box on every single section within several areas and that would take a very long time.  

I am also contacting Petra to ask about this, but I was hoping maybe someone in the GIS community would have some suggestions.
