[OKGIS] Map Projection Gaffe

Greetings all,

Several years ago, the Economist magazine (I believe) published an article
and accompanying map on the missile threat from North Korea. Well, they
used an incorrect map projection in determining the distance such a missile
could travel. A number of mapping professionals pointed this out and the
magazine had to print a retraction.

I know I have seen the article/map before. However, try as I may, I cannot
find it again. I would like to use this as an example in a map projection
discussion, so if anyone knows what the heck I am talking about and can link
me to the article (or send an image of the map gaffe), I will be indebted to
you.

Many thanks and happy 2008,

Todd Fagin
