[OKGIS] measured polyline question

I have two shapefiles: one is a measured polyline and the other is an
"intermittent" line segment that corresponds to the measured polyline.  The
intermittent line segment is not measured and I need to cut sections of the
measured polyline using the intermittent line.  For results, I need single
sections of the measured polyline represented as individual events that
retain the intelligence of the measured polyline with the begin and end
measure of the measured polyline segments.  How do I do this?
