Does anyone have a nice “4 Color Map” or “5 Color Map” layerfile to use to make this map? Similar to the .pdf file that is available.

Or was that just the pastel color ramp that was used to make that map?

Mary,

The Center for Spatial Analysis at OU has a zipped shapefile at http://sites.csa.ou.edu/dashboard/list.html.  The site is still under development but the data are current.

Select ‘Statewide’ from the Region list and then expand the ‘Education’ category.  The data were updated this month.

Hi Mary--

The U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Educational Statistics maintains a map viewer as part of their School District Demographics System which contains boundaries for individual schools.  It can be found here:

http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/sdds/ed/index.asp

If you click on "Map Tools" and then select "Export Spatial Data"  you can get a shapefile of school boundaries filtered by state.  It appears that the most recent data they have is for the 2010-2011 school year.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Matt Winslett

Hello,

I need to find an Oklahoma district school boundary shapefile and also need the same for Tulsa.

If someone has data on where the inner city (Tulsa and OK City) schools are getting the students from I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Mary Miller
